Charly Thévenet Régnié Grain & Granit

32.00

The son of Jean-Paul Thévenet, Charly grew up learning from his pop and the famed quartet that also featured Marcel Lapierre, Guy Breton, and Jean Foillard. Charly is a naturalist, too, a biodynamic farmer who uses minimal sulfur and who ages his wine in neutral burgundy barrels. His Régnié, that's the village, smells of crunchy brambleberry fruit with a granitic foundation, which carries over to the wine's fresh yet serious structure. Tasty, relatively serious stuff that I like to serve chilled with grilled meats or roast chicken.
